Once upon a time in a land far, far away, cybersecurity was regarded as a low priority issue in the educational landscape. Educators worried about teacher retention, test scores, family support, funding and an endless list of other issues. Today, accessibility of information through even the most passive online interaction places additional pressures for school and district leaders to not only know the risks and solutions but be able to conceptually understand them and strategize in light of their potential effects on the school community.
